Hum Up Um
TheTrailPortal.com, Pacific Coast Trail Runs, and The Running Revolution in Campbell, are jazzed to kick off the 2nd annual Hum Up Um. This 7.8 mile journey from Bald Mtn Parking lot on Mt Umunhum Road to "The Cube" and back is one of our favorite courses to run. About the Cube atop Mount Umunhum (Home of the Ohlone Indians of California), means resting place of the hummingbird and is the fourth-highest peak in California's Santa Cruz Mountains (after Loma Prieta, Crystal Peak, and Mt. Chual). The mountain is situated in Santa Clara County, south of San Jose. It is sometimes referred to as Mount Um by locals. Most of the mountain is within the Sierra Azul Open Space Preserve.

Slacker Hill
If you’ve ever seen amazing photos of the Golden Gate Bridge with the San Francisco cityscape in the background, then most likely the most dynamic photo came from Slacker Hill. This 11-mile event is brought to you by the team at Pacific Coast Trail Runs. Your journey will start in Gerbode Valley on Bunker Road and will take you on a challenging tour of the Marin Headlands. You will immediately climb to the top of the famous Hawk Hill, with 360 degree views of the Pacific Ocean and the San Francisco Bay Area. You will then continue on to Slacker Hill, the SCA Trail, the Miwok Trail, pass Hill 88, down the Coastal Trail stairs to Battery Townsley, and finish in the beautiful Rodeo Valley. Don’t forget to pack a lunch and a nice beverage to celebrate your adventure.

Jam On Tam
TheTrailPortal.com, in partnership with Pacific Coast Trail Runs and San Francisco Running Company, are super stoked to be producing the 3rd annual "Jam on Tam" this February 16th and running through April 18th. As in previous years, the competition will include fastest times, most times the course is completed during event time period, as well as the most times the course is completed in one day will be awarded.

Streak To Mission Peak
TheTrailPortal.com, Pacific Coast Trail Runs, and California Craft Beer in Fremont welcome you to our first "Streak to the Peak, part of the 2021 Bay Area "Open Course" Triple Crown Event. Mission Peak rising steeply to the east of the city of Fremont, Mission and Monument peaks form a dramatic backdrop to the South Bay. The determined adventurer who reaches the top of Mission Peak will be rewarded with views of Mount Hamilton to the south, the Santa Cruz Mountains to the west, Mt. Tamalpais to the north, and Mt. Diablo and the Sierra Nevada to the northeast. Hawks and vultures share the summit airspace with sailplanes riding the thermals, and a down-to-earth herd of feral goats roams the cliffs. Take your picture in front of the iconic post named the “Mission Peeker”.
